BRILLIANT
SAPPHIRE BLUE GII-24 LOUISVILLE DOUBLE EAGLE PINT - RARE
RW8. EAGLE - EAGLE, (McK# GII-24),
brilliant sapphire blue, pontil scar, pint, crudely sheared and
fire polished mouth, a mint flask exhibiting some minor wear
at the high points. Louisville Glass Works, Louisville, KY, 1830-1850,
rare.
Though it is not the rarest color in which this flask can be
found, blue is certainly the most desirable color for the GII-24
mold. This superb example carries a Leathery Provenance and it
is perfect in every way. The color is EXCEPTIONAL!
