JP1. UMBRELLA INK WITH PARTIAL ORIGINAL
LABEL,golden yellow, octagonal, pontil scar, 2 7/16"H x
2 3/16"D, inwardly rolled mouth, mint. American, C. 1850,
rare color for an umbrella ink.
This brightly colored ink is primarily yellow with just a touch
of olive and it has been our experience that this is the hardest
to find color in the umbrella form. As shown, the piece also
retains a partial original label that adds notably to its charm.
