ITEM SP67. BLOWN THREE MOLD DECANTER,
(McK# GIII-16), golden olive amber, cylindrical, pontil scar,
pint, sheared and fire polished mouth, mint. Blown at the Keene
Marlboro Street Glass Works, Keene, NH 1820-1840. Purchased from
Ed and Kathy Gray.
Not many can pick 'em like Ed and Kathy and this is truly a DANDY.
Littered with bubbles, stones and unmelted slag, this Keene decanter
remains almost impossibly perfect with no damage whatsoever.
The seasoned collector will note that this is primarily an amber
bottle, not the norm for this particular mold. Oh sure, you can
always find a GIII-16 decanter but examples of this quality are
few and far between!
