ITEM SP42. "S.O. DUNBAR
/ TAUNTON / MASS." MASTER INK BOTTLE, brilliant aquamarine,
cylindrical, pontil scar, 9"H, crudely applied sloping collar
with hand-tooled pour spout, mint. American, C. 1850.
As shown, this wonderful bottle is simply "hammered"
with whittle and it is far and away the best example of this
scarce master ink I have seen. The bottle is pristine perfect
and a must-have for the collector of character bottles.
