DEEP OLIVE GREEN GIII-16 BLOWN THREE MOLD PINT DECANTER - KEENE, NH

ITEM SP41. BLOWN THREE MOLD DECANTER, (McK# GIII-16), deep olive green, cylindrical, tubular pontil scar, pint, sheared and fire polished mouth, about mint (several small, shallow body flakes). Blown at the Keene Glass Works, Keene, NH 1820-1840. Although this superb Keene decanter is not technically perfect, the noted body flakes are extremely minor and arguably a result of extraction from the mold. And, with its EXTREMELY bold impression (as good as any we have seen) and unusually heavy tube pontil scar, the bottle remains a far, far better than average example of the desirable GIII-16 mold. SOLD!
