ATTIC FOUND MUG BASED COBALT BLUE MT CRAWFORD MINERAL WATER

ITEM PM03. "MT CRAWFORD / SPRINGFIELD - UNION GLASS WORKS PHILA. / SUPERIOR / MINERAL WATER," deep cobalt blue, mug based cylinder, iron pontil scar, 7 1/8"H, applied blob style collar, mint. American, C. 1855, rare.

Offered here is a bottle that really does have it all. Of attic quality, this absolutely perfect, uncleaned MT Crawford is as fine an example as the collector could hope to find. Found at an estate sale in central Vermont several years ago, this richly colored mineral water bottle sports a full iron pontil scar and boasts the strongest possible embossing. It is the hardest to find of the various MT Crawford molds and quite simply the very best of its type.
