ITEM JP0020. "NATIONAL /
BITTERS" EAR OF CORN, shaded apricot puce, smooth base,
12 3/8"H, applied double collar, a mint bottle with a few
freckles of interior haze. American, C. 1870, rare color.
This beautifully colored ear of corn figural is one of only a
few known in this particular shade of color. The bottle is boldly
embossed and quite crude with a number of stable potstones in
the glass. We had some difficulty capturing the bottles exact
shading with the camera and have included a comparison shot with
a yellow amber bottle to better show the nuances of the color.
