ITEM JNH70. BLOWN GLASS CRIMPED
FOOT CREAMER WITH MATCHING BALL COVER, aquamarine, bulbous body
with elongated neck, tooled pour spout, applied crimped foot
and applied solid glass handle, pontil scar, creamer measures
4 3/16"H and 5 13/16"H with ball, mint. American, probably
blown at a Southern New Jersey Glass House, C. 1840.
Although it was not included in the small group of South Jersey
Glass we recently acquired, this fabulous little creamer worked
so well with the group that we decided to "deaccession"
the piece from our own collection. Neatly formed and free of
damage, the piece is a textbook perfect specimen that even retains
an appropriate (and almost certainly original) ball cover blown
from identical metal.
