HAT WHIMSEY, (McK# GII-18), clear flint glass with profuse fiery
opalescent striations, cylindrical, 2"H, inwardly rolled
rim, mint. American, 1820-1840, extremely rare, perhaps unique
color combination.
This hat is yet another "resale" purchase that has
spent years on our own shelf rather than finding a spot in our
inventory. The fiery opalescent swirls are even more prominent
than my photos would indicate and this is without question the
finest "non-colored" blown three mold hat we have ever
