exceptional steigel 12 diamond flask - revolutionary war era!

ITEM 9812. PATTERN MOLDED FLASK, purple amethyst, 12 nip't diamonds, pontil scar, 4 5/8"H, crudely sheared mouth, about mint (some MINOR manufacture related lip edge roughness). Blown at Stiegel's American Flint Glass Manufactory, 1769-1774, rare.

This stunning Colonial era flask was blown prior to the American Revolution (put that in your pipe and smoke it!) and it is an exceedingly fine example of its type. The flask's color, mold impression and overall form (chunky!) are all better than is the norm and as a whole the piece presents itself among the finest known.
