APPLIED TOP GII-26 LOUISVILLE DOUBLE EAGLE - SPECTACULAR EXAMPLE!

ITEM 9335. EAGLE - EAGLE, (McK#GII-26), deep aquamarine, early smooth base, quart, applied double collar, mint. Probably blown at the Kentucky Glass Works, Louisville, KY, C. 1855. Very rare mouth and base treatment.

Here's one guaranteed to make even a seasoned collector start to sweat. When found, flasks blown in the GII-26 mold are generally disappointingly weakly embossed but this top notch example bucks the norm by exhibiting razor sharp mold detailing. The flask is absolutely perfect with no damage or wear and the rarely encountered double collar mouth treatment is a delight to the eye. Nope, it's not blown in an exotic shade of color but this is one big and beautiful flask anyone would be proud to sit on the shelf.
