ITEM 9254. MINIATURE GLOBULAR
BOTTLE, bright orange amber, pontil scar, 3 7/16"H, outwardly
folded mouth, mint. Midwestern, probably blown at the White Glass
Works, Zanesville, OH, 1820-1840. Extremely rare size.
For whatever reason, it is relatively common to find miniature
globular bottles blown in New England while their Midwestern
counterparts are almost never encountered. This stately little
piece is perfect in every way, exhibiting the "best"
form and surviving roughly 175 years with nary a pick mark.
