9 3/4" NEW ENGLAND CHESTNUT BOTTLE
ITEM 9048. CHESTNUT BOTTLE, pale
olive yellow, 9 ¾"H, crudely applied mouth, a mint
bottle with some minor wear and a hint of manufacture related
mouth roughness. Blown at a New England Glass House, 1790-1820,
This impressively sized chestnut bottle is a fabulous specimen
that boasts abundant glass crudity, lighter than normal color
and the "best" form. The piece was at one time included
in the noted collection of Dennis Clowes.
