ITEM 8921. MINIATURE DIP MOLDED SNUFF BOTTLE, moss green, rectangular with wide chamfered corners, pontil scar, 3 ¼"H, sheared and fire polished mouth, mint. American, probably blown at a Southern new Jersey Glass House, late 18th century, extremely rare.

In two decades of collecting snuffs and utility bottles, this is the only 18th century example we have encountered in this diminutive size. A smattering of bubbles and perfect proportions make this not only a rare bottle but an absolutely beautiful one as well.
