DEEP AQUAMARINE GII-24 LOUISVILLE DOUBLE EAGLE - TOP EXAMPLE

ITEM 8521. EAGLE - EAGLE, (McK# GII-24), deep aquamarine, pontil scar, pint, sheared and fire polished mouth, mint. Probably blown at the Kentucky Glass Works, Louisville, KY, C. 1845.

This top-of-the-line GII-24 is not "colored" per se but it is richly toned, exceedingly well embossed (the best!) and free of damage or wear. The collector could not hope to find a better example of this attractive and always popular herringbone ribbed eagle flask.
