ITEM 8507. "J.T. DALY /
CLUBHOUSE GIN," forest/olive green, case gin form, iron
pontil scar, 9"H, applied square collar, about mint (two
TINY lip edge flakes). American, C. 1850, very scarce.
This handsome case style bottle is likely the earliest of the
various Daly products and it is an especially handsome example
with appealing glass crudity and crisply embossed lettering (including
the interesting backwards "S"). These iron pontiled
error bottles are quite scarce and in my experience they are
much tougher to find than the slightly later smooth based examples.
