EXTREMEMLY CRUDE NEW ENGLAND UTILITY BOTTLE

ITEM 8410. UTILITY BOTTLE, yellow olive, pontil scar, 6 ½"H, applied sloping collar with ring, mint. Blown at a New England Glass House, C. 1850.

Quality control must have been snoozing when this bottle crossed the assembly line, as it is "marred" by a large smudge in the shoulder that was caused by a misguided lipping tool. This beautifully crude and interesting bottle is currently the top vote getter for "worst bottle ever made!"
