ITEM 8406. "J & R DUNSTER
/ LONDON" WITH PARTIAL ORIGINAL LABEL, orange amber with
strong red highlights, smooth base, 9 5/8"H, applied sloping
collar, mint. Blown at a Stoddard Glass House, Stoddard, NH,
C. 1865, a very scarce bottle that is rarely found with a label.
Although embossed "London" this handsome bottle is
a Stoddard made product containing gin "brought from the
docks in London and bottled in America" by the C.A. Richards
Company of Boston, MA. The bottle is much harder to find than
those embossed with the Richards' name and it is a top flight
example with lots of glass whittle and a noticeably red hue.
