ITEM 8367. "PURE COGNAC" (on applied seal) HANDLED WHISKEY JUG, golden amber, cylindrical with an applied solid glass handle, pontil scar, 9"H, applied double collar, mint. Blown at the Whitney Glass Works, Glassboro, NJ, C. 1850, extremely rare.

This stunning applied seal whiskey bottle is one of only a few known examples and it is perfect in every way. The placement of the seal on the side of the bottle allows today's collector to display the bottle in a manner in which the well struck seal can be seen as well as the profile of the handle. Handled whiskey bottles are in this cataloguer's opinion WILDLY undervalued - here's tour chance to add a great rarity to your collection at a surprisingly reasonable price.
