ITEM 8280. CORSET WAISTED SCROLL FLASK, (McK#GIX-45), deep aquamarine, pontil scar, pint, crudely sheared and fire polished mouth, a mint flask that is slightly overblown in the shoulder area. Probably blown at a Pittsburgh District Glass House, C. 1840, scarce.

This beautifully designed and highly ornate scroll flask is one of the most attractive molds in McKearin's group number nine. The flask is a fine example that exhibits brilliant glass and little if any wear at the high points.
