DEEP AMBER ZANESVILLE, OH PATTERN MOLDED GLOBULAR BOTTLE

ITEM 8266. PATTERN MOLDED GLOBULAR BOTTLE, deep "root beer" amber, 24 ribs, swirled to the left, pontil scar, 7 1/2"H, outwardly folded rim, a mint bottle exhibiting the expected light usage wear. Midwestern, probably blown at the Zanesville Glass Works, Zanesville, OH, 1820-1840.

It is this bottle's deeper than normal color and exceptionally bold ribbing that make it a particularly appealing example.
