BRIGHT FOREST GREEN GIII-11 MOUNT VERNON/MOUNT PLEASANT CORNUCOPIA - URN

 

ITEM 8203. CORNUCOPIA - URN, (McK# GIII-11), bright forest green, pontil scar, half-pint, sheared and fire polished mouth, about mint. Blown at either the Mount Vernon Glass Works, Vernon, NY or the Saratoga (Mt. Pleasant) Glass Works, Saratoga, NY, 1830-1850, very scarce color.

It is this flask's superb color and extra bubbly glass that make it a particularly successful example of Mountain Glass.
