ITEM 8194. OVERSIZED CASE GIN BOTTLE, olive green, square, pontil scar, 11 5/8"H, crudely applied mouth, mint. Blown at a Dutch Glass House, late 18th century.

It is this bottle's, thin, transparent "chestnut-like" glass that makes it a standout example of its type. Although only a couple of inches taller than the norm the bottle is quite broad, likely having a capacity nearly double that of a standard sized case gin bottle.
