RARE MIDWESTERN MINIATURE GLOBULAR BOTTLE

ITEM 8064. MINIATURE GLOBULAR BOTTLE, aquamarine, pontil scar, 3 ¾"H, outwardly folded collar, mint. Blown at a Midwestern Glass House, C. 1830, rare.

Much harder to find than New England made bottles of the same general size and form, this little Midwestern jewel is quite the rare object. Although I have broadly catalogued the piece as simply "Midwestern," it is my strong belief that this is an Ohio made bottle. And, for those of you with a taste for irony, the bottle retains an early (1930 - 1950) jelly label with a price of "3.00" on the base.
