LOUISVILLE, KY GII-31 QUART EAGLE FLASK - GREAT EXAMPLE!

 

ITEM 7992. EAGLE - EAGLE, (McK# GII-31), brilliant aquamarine, pontil scar, quart, sheared and fire polished mouth, mint. Blown at the Louisville Glass Works, Louisville, KY, C. 1860, scarce.

This scarcely encountered quart-sized flask is an imposing shelf presence that exhibits good mold detail, bright, shiny glass and a pleasing array of seedy bubbles. There is no damage, simply the slightest whisper of wear on one of the embossed eagles. If you are collecting eagle flasks or Louisville made products this would be a top notch example for your collection.
