COLORED WESTERN NEW YORK BOTTLE GLASS BOWL OR PAN

 

ITEM 7988. FREEBLOWN BOWL OR PAN, medium to deep blue green, cylindrical with gradually flaring sides, pontil scar, 2 ¼"H x 6"D, outwardly folded rim, a mint bowl with generous usage wear. American, probably blown at a Western New York State Glass House, 1830-1850, rare color.

Any good, early pan or bowl in color is a rare object and this soulful little survivor is an especially handsome piece of period glass.
