beautifully crude 8 3/8"H chestnut bottle

ITEM 7957. CHESTNUT BOTTLE, olive green, pontil scar, 8 3/8"H, crudely applied mouth, about mint (some scattered exterior wear and scuffing). Blown at a New England Glass House, 1790-1820.

It is this bottle's extra crude and stringy glass texture that makes it a particularly handsome example.
