ITEM 7956. CHESTNUT BOTTLE, light
olive yellow, pontil scar, 10 ½"H, crudely applied
mouth, a mint bottle exhibiting the expected usage wear. Probably
blown at a Connecticut Glass House, 1790-1820, rare size.
Chestnut bottles over 10" in height are scarce indeed and
this mostly yellow example is as pretty an example as one could
hope for.
