ITEM 7952. BLOWN THREE MOLD PITCHER, (McK# GV-6) clear flint glass, bulbous body with exaggerated pour spout and an applied hollow glass handle, pontil scar, 6 ½"H, tooled mouth with pour spout, a mint pitcher with a tiny spot of manufacture related base edge roughness. American, 1820-1840, rare.

Blown using the aid of a quart decanter mold, this handsome pitcher is a superior piece of blown three mold tableware. We have encountered just a few GV-6 pitchers over the years and of that small group we are of the strong opinion that this example exhibits the most appealing form. It even exceeds the beauty of the Jedlicka example that we offered previously!
