FRESH TO THE MARKET COLORED PIKE'S PEAK FLASK

ITEM 7923. "FOR PIKE'S PEAK / PROSPECTOR - HUNTER SHOOTING DEER," (McK# GXI-51), forest green, smooth base, pint, applied collar, mint. Probably blown at the Ravenna Glass Works, Ravenna, OH, C. 1865, scarce.

This fresh to the market flask was recently discovered in a box lot at an upstate New York auction. The flask is a spectacular example with an exceptionally crisp mold impression and no wear whatsoever. The glass is filled with seedy bubbles and the color is not olive but rather a forest shade of green.
