ITEM 7851. "SWAIM'S - PANACEA - PHILADA," medium to deep olive green, cylindrical, sand chip pontil scar, 7 ½"H, crudely applied sloping collar with ring, about mint (a whisper of wear one the shoulders and a few freckles of washable interior content residue). American, C. 1845.

This handsome Swaim's is the earlier variation without the embossed label panel and it is of the type that I strongly believe was blown in eastern New York State. The bottle is boldly embossed, delightfully crude and crowned with the best possible mouth application. It is indeed a good one!
