ITEM 7844. CHESTNUT BOTTLE, yellow
olive, pontil scar, 6 3/8"H, outwardly rolled mouth, a mint
bottle exhibiting the expected usage wear. Blown at a New England
Glass House, 1790-1820, a rare mouth treatment for a New England
chestnut bottle.
It is this bottle's pleasing high-shouldered profile that initially
grabs one's attention but closer scrutiny reveals that the piece
is topped by a Mid-Atlantic style outwardly rolled mouth that
is both unusual and appealing.
