BEAUTIFUL STRAW YELLOW NEW ENGLAND PITKIN-TYPE FLASK

IITEM 7806. PITKIN-TYPE FLASK, 36 ribs, ribbed and swirled to the right, straw yellow, pontil scar, 5 3/8"H, sheared and fire polished mouth, mint. Blown at a Connecticut Glass House, 1790-1820.

My good friend Matt took one look at this piece and labeled it a "desert island bottle" (as in, "If I were stranded on a desert island this would be one of the bottles I could look at forever.") Castaway or not, any collector will absolutely love this perfectly executed flask. It truly is a joy to behold!
