ITEM 7707. CHESTNUT BOTTLE, olive green, pontil scar, 10 5/8"H, crudely applied collar, about mint (1/4" base edge fissure hidden within the wear ring). Blown at a New England Glass House, 1790-1820.

Recently discovered in a Southern Vermont home, this oversized New England made chestnut bottle is quite the impressive piece of early glass. The bottle exhibits the expected usage wear and displays as "mint" - the noted base edge fissure is minor and the piece remains a quality early bottle with loads of glass character.
