18TH CENTURY GERMAN KIDNEY SHAPED BOTTLE - RARE SIZE AND FORM!

ITEM 7674. BLACK GLASS KIDNEY SHAPED BOTTLE, deep olive amber, pontil scar, 12"H, applied mouth, a mint bottle with some washable content residue. Probably German or Belgian, mid 18th century, rare size and form.

Undoubtedly wrapped in wicker for most of its life, this intriguing 18th century bottle simply could not be in better condition. Astoundingly free of wear (even upon the base) the bottle appears today just as it did when it was blown roughly 250 years ago. The bottle is surprisingly light in weight and equal parts olive and amber in color.
