CRUDE NEW ENGLAND PITKIN-TYPE FLASK
ITEM 7646. PITKIN-TYPE FLASK,
pale moss green, 36 ribs, ribbed and swirled to the right, pontil
scar, 5 1/8" H, sheared and fire polished mouth, mint. New
England, probably blown at a Connecticut Glass Works, 1790-1820.
Pale in color and boldly ribbed, this gorgeous flask is blown
from a particularly gritty batch of metal with small stones and
frit throughout the glass. The form is perfect, as is the condition
of this beautiful survivor.
