ITEM 7645. DIP-MOLDED SNUFF BOTTLE,
clear olive green, square with beveled edges, pontil scar, 5
½"H, sheared and fire polished mouth, a mint bottle
exhibiting the expected usage wear. Blown at a Connecticut Glass
House, 1790-1820.
This early snuff is blown of "chestnut glass" and as
a result it is lighter in weight and more delicate than is the
norm for this form.
