/ COMPOUND / ST. JOHNSBURY, VT.," aquamarine, rectangular,
early smooth base, 7 ¼"H, applied sloping collar,
an attic-quality bottle with a TINY horizontal annealing line
on a mold seam at the base. American, C. 1865, very scarce.
This hard-to-find Vermont medicine bottle is a wonderful example
with lustrous glass, bold embossing and pleasing crudity. Of
attic quality, the bottle has no post-manufacture damage, stain
or wear - the noted flaw is extremely minor and mentioned solely
for accuracy. It is a GREAT bottle!
