PUCE OLD SACHEM BITTERS BARREL WITH MINOR DAMAGE

ITEM 7535. "OLD SACHEM / BITTERS / AND / WIGWAM TONIC," strawberry or apricot puce, figural barrel, smooth base, 9 ½"H, oversized applied square collar, an attic quality bottle with a shallow, thumbnail sized bubble burst at the base edge. American, C. 1870, scarce color.

Although Greeley's and Bourbon Whiskey barrels are commonly encountered in shades of puce, the color is scarce among the Old Sachems. Fresh from a house in Addison County, VT, this colorful and boldly embossed example shades from strawberry to apricot and is priced to SELL!!!
