ITEM 7497. "GRIFFITH, HYATT
& CO. / BALTIMORE, MD," shaded apricot yellow, globular
bottle with indented label panel and applied solid glass handle,
tubular pontil scar, 7 5/16"H, applied square collar, a
mint bottle exhibiting some minor exterior wear and a few freckles
of interior haze. American, probably blown at the Baltimore Glass
Works, Baltimore, MD, 1846-1860, scarce bottle in a rare color.
Not "brown" but rather
an apricot tinged golden amber, this highly whittled whiskey
jug is a delight to the eye.
