ITEM 7361. PITKIN-TYPE FLASK,
clear olive green, 31 ribs ribbed and swirled to the right, pontil
scar, 6 1/4"H, sheared and fire polished mouth, a mint flask
exhibiting some usage wear at the base edge. American, probably
blown at a Midwestern Glass House, 1810 to 1830, scarce rib count.
It is the large, unbroken bubble extending across the body of
the piece that makes this flask a singular example. The flask's
form, rib count and overall clarity make it particularly appealing
to the eye.
