ITEM 7360. PITKIN-TYPE FLASK,
bright bluish green, 30 ribs ribbed and swirled to the right,
pontil scar, 7 1/4"H, sheared and fire polished mouth, a
mint flask exhibiting some usage wear at the base edge. American,
probably blown at a Midwestern Glass House, 1810 to 1830, ex.
Blaske Collection.
Abnormally large and appealingly asymmetric, this fine Midwestern
flask is a superior example of its type. Likely Midwestern in
origin it is also possible that this flask was blown in Southern
New Jersey.
