OUTSTANDING STIEGEL DIAMOND DAISY FLASK

 

ITEM 7349. PATTERN MOLDED FLASK, brilliant purple amethyst, diamond daisy design, pontil scar, 5"H, sheared and fire polished mouth, mint. Blown at Stiegel's American Flint Glass Manufactory, 1769-1774, rare. Unquestionably a product of Stiegel's 18th century Glass Manufactory, this spectacular flask is not only astoundingly beautiful but also a pre-Revolutionary War artifact of historic significance. The flask rises above others of its type by its relatively bold impression, particularly vibrant color and appealingly plump form. That it is also a perfect specimen truly makes this a Diamond daisy of peculiar merit. SOLD!
