GLASS WORKS BASE EMBOSSED WHISKEY
ITEM 7321. "WILLINGTON GLASS
WORKS (on base)," olive green, three piece mold cylinder,
smooth base, 11 3/8"H, applied sloping collar with ring,
mint. Blown at the Willington Glass Works, Willington, CT, 1860-1872,
scarce.
This scarcely encountered base embossed whiskey is the variant
with the backwards "Ns" and Ss." A particularly
appealing example, the bottle exhibits brilliant exterior luster,
an extra bubbly nature and the boldest possible base embossing.
