SUPERB MOSSY OLIVE GREEN GIV-24 KEENE MASONIC FLASK

ITEM 7265. EAGLE - MASONIC, (McK# GIV-24), mossy olive green, tubular pontil scar, half-pint, sheared and fire polished mouth, a mint flask with some manufacturer's neck crazing. Blown at the Keene Marlboro Street Glass Works, Keene, NH, 1830-1850, rare color.

Noticeably thinner and lighter weight than is the norm, this fine Keene flask is also blown from an unusually beautiful batch of mossy olive green bottle glass. The impression is quite good and the piece stands straight and tall rather than wobbling on the small base like most. There is little, if any, wear at the high points (perhaps a result of its ability to stand) and no damage.
