ITEM 7133. UTILITY JAR, forest/olive
green with an amber striation, cylindrical, tubular pontil scar,
4 7/8"H, crudely applied mouth, mint. Blown at a Connecticut
Glass House, 1790-1830.
It is the extra crude mouth treatment and intriguing string of
amber glass at midbody that make this a particularly appealing
example of a Connecticut "chestnut glass" utility jar.
