/ MADE BY HONEST / NORTH / CAROLINA PEOPLE" WITH PORTIONS
OF THE ORIGINAL LABEL, deep cobalt blue, cylindrical with fancy
shoulders and neck, 12"H, applied sloping collar with ring,
a mint bottle in attic found condition. American, C. 1890, scarce.
This attic quality bottle is one of a half-dozen that was discovered
in a Charlotte, Vermont attic in the 1980s. The bottle is the
best of the lot, exhibiting deeper than normal color, the boldest
possible embossing and some crudity. There is no damage and should
the new owner desire, the attic surface could easily be cleaned
with soap and water to reveal the full brilliance of the glass.
