ITEM 7057. MINIATURE GLOBULAR
BOTTLE, golden orange amber, cylindrical, 5 ¼"H,
delicately flared mouth, a mint bottle with a pinhead-sized area
of lip edge roughness. Blown at a Midwestern Glass House, 1830-1850,
rare. Ex. Charles B. Gardner Collection.
Appealing in both size and design, this Midwestern (likely Zanesville)
made bottle is quite a rarity. The bottle was at one time included
in the legendary Charles B. Gardner collection and the piece
retains his inventory tags.
