ITEM 7055. FREEBLOWN DEEP BOWL,
deep aquamarine, cylindrical with flaring sides, pontil scar,
3 ¾"H x 7 ¾"D, outwardly folded rim,
about mint (a small, radiating stone is a manufacturer's flaw).
Blown at a Western New York State Glass House, C. 1840, scarce
size.
This delightfully formed bowl is smaller than most at just 7
¾" in diameter. As is tyocial of tableware blown
at Redford and Redwood the richly toned glass is quite thick
and it exhibits a peculiar brilliance.
