SCARCE
GII-130 PINT FLASK - SPECTACULAR EAGLE!
ITEM 6885. EAGLE - EAGLE, (McK#
GII-130), aquamarine, smooth base, pint, applied mouth with ring,
mint. Probably blown at a Pittsburgh Glass House, Pittsburgh,
PA, C. 1870, scarce.
Although it is of the later period, this is unquestionably one
of the more inspired depictions of the American eagle in the
figured flask category. And, of the few examples that we have
handled, this beauty offers the finest mold detailing.
